Guacamole is something I make on regular basis. Given that Avocado is good for your health, there are also many nutritional benefits as well.

So here’s my recipe for Guacamole

Snacks? And healthy? What??

Every day, I aim to eat food that is nutritious and healthy, this also includes the snacks I eat. Replacing my snacks with healthier options has boosted my energy and aided towards my general health.

It’s important that you know how your body works. For example, knowing when you will get that energy slump throughout the day, is a sign that you need to eat a light snack; that is full of nutrition, to help raise your blood sugar levels before it happens.

For me, it’s 4 pm, I have a light snack around 2.30-3pm.

Oldham Business Edge Magazine

The moment I received a call about giving an interview for the Oldham business Edge magazine, I was over the moon. This was my very first media interaction regarding my business; I was excited and honored for this opportunity.

My business idea came from a personal place. It was inspired by my change of lifestyle and worldly view. My business is me, it’s my mirror image, and I hope everyone is inspired by it.

My interview with Oldham Business Edge magazine is about my business success in terms of, investment as well as NatWest Bank support; and, great collaboration with suppliers and renowned manufacturers as well.

The progress

I am now far closer to my goal, of launching an Animal-Friendly handbag range. I am not denying; that It has been a roller coaster journey, with many ups and downs.

Who said, launching your own business is easy? The long hours; late nights and early mornings working non-stop to make ends meet. Knocking on every door to get your product out there, making connections and building relations with people and businesses.

Is learning about nutrition important?

 

Most recently I have taken up further interest in nutrition, health, and wellbeing. Learning more about nutrition has helped me understand my diet further. I have learned basic changes can improve my health, especially with my gluten intolerance and IBS.

However, this blog post will be about mood and food, how our food affects our mood. Starting our day with good nutritional food can make a big difference on how much energy we will have throughout the day. Most of us will have breakfast to help, us with setting our blood sugar levels and, giving us that energy we need. However, not everything we eat will help maintain a healthy blood sugar level throughout the day, and as a result, we will feel tired and exhausted quicker.

Progress and Hiccups

This week has been emotionally and professionally challenging. Starting a business is not as easy as it may look; the challenges you face and the sacrifices you make along the way are far greater than you would anticipate.

Sometimes you lose ‘friends’ and other times you are struggling to survive, with pressure from clients, partners and investors.

But at the end of it, the reward is far greater than all the sacrifices you made along the way. Even when people do not believe in you, you just need to believe in yourself. Set a goal and work towards it, make it your priority, your mission; and once you achieve it move on to the next goal.

You can also get emotionally drained, by trying it hard to please everyone, but if you focus your energy on yourself; you can make a difference and work even harder on your dream.

Surround yourself with people who want to see you successful and be around like-minded people.

With all the pressure and unwanted negative energy, I find peace and comfort in doing Bikram yoga and meditation. I feel relaxed and more focused towards my goals, and when I need to release the pressure built up in my system; I find kickboxing the only solution.

Kickboxing helps me deal with the pressure, and also helps with keeping me physically fit; whereas Bikram yoga and meditating keeps me sane.

As an entrepreneur, you need to set a balance in your life, where you not only work towards your goals but also give time to your family and friends. I have found that balance, what will you do to bring that balance into your life? And how will you keep going despite all the negative energy around you?

Music, at the library? Really?

This week has been full of music and harmony. I have been spending a lot of time at the Manchester Central Library, especially the Music library on the 1st floor.

While working from the Library on my handbag business, I have been able to enjoy the sound of music instruments played by artist and students, who on a daily basis spend hours playing some amazing instruments.

The atmosphere and energy in the space is electrifying warm and tranquil, leaving you feeling calm and great. While the variation of music being played, soothes my ears, it at the same time gives me the positive energy to keep going.

The music Library on the first floor is a hidden Gem that is not known to all, and those that do know it, make the most of the space.

Just like myself, I spend my mornings swayed by the sound of music and positivity. The library is open to all; you can work from there or even spend your afternoon playing the piano, or even bring your own guitar along and entertain us all.

The Library has some fantastic music books and best of all the instruments are free to use as well. So why not come along and spread some positive energy and enjoy yourself.

I could talk all day about the Music room, the sounds and the people I meet. But I will stop here, try it yourself and have a great time.

WHAT HAVE I BEEN UP TO LATELY?

Hey, everyone, I guess you all would like to ask the ‘burning’ question about what have I been up to lately?

Well here I go, so apart from my amazing trip to the European Parliament in Brussels and a short but fantastic trip to see my suppliers in London; I am excited to announce that I will soon be receiving my handbag prototype.

After reviewing this prototype I will be able to review and make any necessary adjustments, to improve and finalise the handbag to go into production.

The fabrics/materials that I will be using for the handbag are 100% Animal cruelty-free, I am going out my way and making sure from hardware to the lining is cruelty-free. The quality of the fabrics is high, I want to design and provide you with a handbag that is made to last a long time, with a touch of luxury.

The handbag is handmade with attention to detail, for me, details are very important, and I want to make sure my handbag portrays that image too. So, when you carry this bag, you will proudly know that this bag is made with love and a cause, a cause to make the world a better place, and cause that I resonate with and you resonate with.

Although it has been a very difficult journey for me on sourcing the correct materials, and finding the right manufacturer; I still did not give up, it has taken me over a year, and here I am. I have finally done it: I am not alone, with the great support from E-Spark (world’s largest free business accelerator) and my collaboration with the Manchester Central Library, and with an amazing and supportive mentor Natasha (Director of Union Street Media Arts) I have been able to come this far on making my dream project come to reality.
